Chops (2007)

Each year, Jazz at Lincoln Center and its artistic director Wynton Marsalis host the Essentially Ellington Festival, a competition of high school jazz bands from across the country. This documentary focuses on one Florida band's experience at the festival.

Ghosts of Bataan (Discovery Channel - 2005)

This haunting narrative provides a glimpse into the atrocities endured by the American and Filipino soldiers on the infamous 'Bataan Death March.' It is estimated that more than 40,000 American and Filipino soldiers met a brutal death from the time of the surrender on Bataan in April of 1942 until the war’s end in 1945. The documentary also chronicles the ultimate liberation of Bataan and the return home of the survivors, many of whom rarely spoke of their experiences until now. Aired on The Discovery Channel in August 2005.

The First Four Minutes (ESPN Original Entertainment - 2005)

The First Four Minutes defines a period of time when the term “amateur” still had meaning -- where drug testing and sponsorships were unheard of concepts. And, in 1954, a simple race against time captivated fans worldwide, epitomizing sport at its purest form. The documentary not only chronicles the pursuit of the first four-minute mile, but provides insight into who these men were and what drove them to chase it down. Narrated by Liam Neeson. Aired September 2005 on ESPN and ESPN HD.

SportsCentury (1999-2005)
